Irish Gardens
Thanks to Ireland's maritime climate and the Gulf Stream which washes our western shores, Ireland boasts a multitude of beautiful gardens. Some of the most spectacular date back to the eighteenth century, such as Kilfane Glen And Waterfall, County Kilkenny. Ireland Offers a wide variety of gardens nationwide, from the historic surroundings of Powerscourt Gardens, County Wicklow, to the more recent John F Kennedy Arboretum, in County Wexford.
Series of gardens in a region, some of which are private, can be enjoyed by the gardening enthusiast during the various Garden Festivals throughout the late Spring and Summer months. A garden tour is a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of the Irish countryside coupled with an opportunity to experience the artistic and cultural dimension to our rich heritage.
